Joseph Millson is best known for long-running stints in TV shows such as The Last Kingdom (NETFLIX), Banished (BBC), 24 - Live Another Day (FOX), Holby City (BBC), The Sarah-Jane Adventures (BBC), Peak Practice (ITV), Campus (Channel 4), Citadel (Amazon), Van Der Valk (ITV), Catch 22, Survivors, Ransom (CBS) and Penny Dreadful, among over forty other TV credits, including a recent significant role in a top secret new show for MARVEL.
His work in feature films has included leading roles in Angel Has Fallen, Casino Royale, I Give It A Year, Dragonheart Vengeance, The Dead 2,
All The Devil’s Men, Creation Stories and Tango One, among over a dozen more.
Joseph has also had an extensive theatre career. He has played leading roles at the National Theatre, the Royal Shakespeare Company (where he is an associate artist), at the Royal Court, the Old Vic, Almeida, Donmar Warehouse in the West End and at most leading London theatres. He recently won the UK Theatre Award for best performance in a play for The Rover at the RSC, directed by Loveday Ingram. His portrayal of Macbeth at Shakespeare’s Globe was filmed and subsequently released in cinemas worldwide. He has performed in West End musicals, creating the role of Raoul in Love Never Dies (for which he won a Whatsonstage Award) and starring as Mr Banks in the recent West End revival of Mary Poppins.
